gabrielmansour:

Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Father of the World Wide Web, Director of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), announcing today the World Wide Web Foundation at the 2009 Internet Governance Forum in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Glad all that hard work we put in these past few weeks is paying off!

I was actually in Sharm El Skeikh last summer while vacationing in the Middle East. At the time, I was a bit bummed to only be going there during my time in Egypt; I would’ve really liked to also see Cairo and Giza because of my interest in Egyptology and archeology, but now I’m more appreciative of the time I spent there, since it actually ended up being the best week of my trip.

Respect to Gabriel for his dedication to the site over these past few weeks. A tremendous effort.
