Real work is actually accomplishing something from @fraserspeirs
I’ve been bitching about saving us from our own tech bubble egos for years. Sure, it’s nice to be in control, but wouldn’t it be so much nicer for things to just work? I’ll take the ease of not worrying about the tools I use to make something happen for the much more advantageous opportunity of actually being able to focus on making something.
To the 1% of people who actually ever do upgrade their computer hardware or want to manage their file system down to the byte, enjoy your hacked together PCs man. Revel in it. Hold your smarmy superiority over us, if that’s what your ego needs. We get the last laugh.
The computer is just a tool, not a vocation. Let it do the work so you can focus on the things that matter. And in 60 days, we’ll see if this iPad thing gets it right.
